Lorrie Sherwood, P.T., C.S.C.S / Co-Owner
Lorrie is a 1986 graduate of Oakland University's Physical Therapy Program.  After joining North Woodward Rehabilitation in 1989, Lorrie has continued with extensive course work with an emphasis in manual therapy.  She also acts as North Woodward's clinical coordinator, sponsoring clinical rotations with Oakland University's Physical Therapy Program.  In 1998, Lorrie earned her strength and conditioning specialist certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

While striving for a healthier lifestyle, Lorrie set physical training goals which led to her first marathon in 1996.  She continues to run marathons completing eight, to date, including Boston.  Through her running and lifestyle affiliations, she has come to know and treat local runners and elite athletes from many different competitive arenas.

Rose Sicilia, P.T.
Rose began her education at Michigan State University concentrating in engineering and sciences, and received her physical therapy degree from Oakland University in 1990.  She has taken multiple continuing education courses across the country since her graduation.  These courses have involved a wide range of orthopedic topics from leaders in the physical therapy and medical fields.  During her 14 years at North Woodward Rehabilitation, she has treated many patients with a variety of orthopedic problems involving multiple areas of the body.  Rose has taken a special interest in adults and children suffering with chronic pain, including chronic regional pain syndrome.  She receives many referrals from previous satisfied clients.  Rose strongly believes in each patient receiving quality time with a certified physical therapist at each treatment session.  North Woodward Rehabilitation shares this philosophy and thus has a high success rate.

Kristi Bowles, M.P.T., O.C.S., C.S.C.S.
Kristi graduated from Oakland University in 1996 with a Master's degree in physical therapy. In 2002, she became board certified in orthopedics through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She is also a certified strength & conditioning specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Kristi has taken extensive continued courses with emphasis on manual techniques and functional exercise training. These courses have helped her to develop skills in identifying the source of the problem instead of "treating the symptoms."

She has treated multiple patients with TMJ dysfunctions, and works collaboratively with area dentists to provide quality care and education for this patient population.  Kristi also enjoys working with adolescents and adults with various orthopedic conditions.  She works at creating individualized exercise programs, tailored to each patient, to ensure a high success rate upon discharge from physical therapy.

Anne Tafelski, M.S., P.T., O.M.P.T., C.S.C.S.,
Anne received her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan.  She completed her Master's of Science degree in Orthopedics and Manual Therapy from Oakland University.  In 1994, she became certified as an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist (O.M.P.T.) by the International Federation of O.M.P.T.s.  This was a three-year, graduate level orthopedic program that included clinical mentoring by internationally renowned physical therapy experts and authors, Freddy Kaltenborn and Olaf Evenjth.  Also, she is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is currently on the Board of Ethics for the APTA.

As well as having extensive experience as an orthopedic clinical specialist and instructor, she managed outpatient services at William Beaumont Hospital for seven years and has taught graduate level courses on Differential Diagnosis, Joint Biomechanics and Orthopedics at Oakland University.

Anne's education, training and interest in orthopedics and biomechanics have made her an expert in diagnosing and treating mechanical problems which are often the underlying cause of many musculoskeletal injuries such as herniated discs, ligamentous knee and ankle problems, rotator cuff dysfunction and frozen shoulders.  These advanced skills have helped numerous patients, including professional athletes, avoid surgery, recover more quickly from surgery, restore function, eliminate symptoms and enhance sports performance.

Anne, who is married and has three year old son, also enjoys playing competitive tennis for fun and fitness.

Denise Dean, M.P.T
Denise is a 2000 graduate of Oakland University's Master's in physical therapy program, and has extensive orthopedic experience with all patient populations.  She has completed numerous continuing education courses through the manual medicine program at Michigan State's College of Osteopathic Medicine.  These courses have helped her to develop a "total body" approach to patient care that gets to the root of the problem, rather than simply focusing on the symtomatic area.

Denise is also an avid, long-distance runner and has attended several courses focusing on the treatment of running-related injuries.  She has combined her passion for running with her expertise in physical therapy in order to help other runners and endurance athletes.  Denise shares North Woodward Rehabilitation Service's philosophy of individualized treatment, and only the highest standard of care.

Elizabeth Chomic P.T.
Elizabeth earned a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University in 1997. Since graduation she has combined a hands on Physical Therapy approach along with numerous continuing education courses to serve a diverse patient population.

While employed at William Beaumont Hospital Elizabeth was responsible for implementing a resident educational in-service focused on core strength training and exercise program development. Through this experience she mastered the art of tailoring exercise programs to patients of any level. This enables patients to independently continue their program upon discharge from Physical Therapy. Elizabeth believes that quality care combined with a personal connection creates an environment for success.  Outside of work, Elizabeth keeps herself busy with her two daughters 5 and 7.  She also plays on golf, softball, and bowling leagues.

In this capacity, Regina has the the unique ability to work with various patient's, providing consistency if the primary physical therapist has scheduled time off.

After 17 years of experience in orthopedic settings, Regina has found she enjoys treating the region of the cervical spine the most.  Her experiences have also exposed her to extensive training in myofascial and soft tissue treatment, which she incorporates into her therapy sessions.
